Anti-Bullying Week - Power for Good
Anti-Bullying Week – Power for Good
This week, our school embraced Anti-Bullying Week with the theme Power for Good, taking part in a range of activities that helped us learn, reflect, create, and celebrate kindness. Throughout the week, pupils explored how their words and actions can make a positive difference—both in school and online.
Monday – BBC Live Lesson
We launched the week with a special BBC Anti-Bullying Live Lesson. Pupils joined thousands of others across the country to learn about the importance of speaking up, supporting others, and recognising the power we all have to make good choices. It set a brilliant tone for the rest of the week.
Tuesday – Be Internet Legends
On Tuesday, the focus shifted to staying safe and respectful online with Be Internet Legends. We explored how to be kind digital citizens, how to protect ourselves on the internet, and how online behaviour can affect others. Pupils especially enjoyed applying what they learned through interactive games and discussions.
Wednesday – Rights Respecting Lesson
Midweek, we linked Anti-Bullying Week with our Rights Respecting Schools work. Pupils learned about the right to feel safe, to be treated fairly, and to be listened to. We talked about how respecting each other’s rights makes our school a happier and safer place for everyone.
Thursday – Anti-Bullying Activities
Thursday was filled with creative activities! Classes worked on songs, raps, poems, and posters all themed around friendship, kindness, and standing up for others. Children came up with fantastic ideas and powerful messages about being a good friend and using their “power for good.”
Friday – Celebration Assembly
We ended the week with a joyful Celebration Assembly, where pupils shared some of their amazing work—from raps to songs to artwork. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate kindness and reflect on everything we learned.
