Tuesday 30 June 2026 Rosary's First Podcast! We are thrilled to launch Rosary's first-ever student-led podcast! Created by our Culture Council pupil group, this debut episode features 13 of our students sharing a fantastic summary of STEAM Week 2026 'Climate Change All Change'. The podcast highlights our school's incredible learning journey, celebrating how we used science, technology, engineering, art and maths to design sustainable, climate-focused solutions. This milestone project was made possible through a wonderful community partnership with a local school, The Hall, who generously invited us to use their professional recording facilities. We extend our warmest thanks to them and their expert sound technician, who kindly volunteered their time and expertise to guide our students through the recording process.

Thursday 25 June 2026 Careers Day in KS1 Our Careers Day was a fantastic success and gave the children an exciting insight into a wide range of professions. We started the day with a colourful parade around the hall, where everyone proudly showcased the careers they had chosen to dress up as. Throughout the day, we were visited by a variety of professionals, including members of the Army, the Police, and the Fire Service. We also welcomed a visitor who spoke to the children about careers in the railway industry. The children loved hearing about the different roles and asking lots of thoughtful questions. One of the highlights of the day was exploring the fire engine, where the children had the opportunity to sit inside the truck and even use the water hose! It was a memorable day that inspired our pupils to think about their future aspirations and the many exciting opportunities available to them.

Thursday 4 June 2026 Macaws' CRICK Workshop The class had a fantastic time during a workshop led by a scientist from the Francis Crick Institute. She taught us all about how incredibly tiny bacteria are and amazed us with some fascinating facts. Then came the best part — she brought mini microscopes for us to explore with around the classroom! We investigated the carpet, the class plants, our jumper sleeves and even some children's hair to see what we could discover up close. There were lots of squeals, giggles and surprised faces as we uncovered a whole new microscopic world. Safe to say, the classroom had never looked so hairy, dusty and exciting before!
