Fun at ROOTD!

The Year 6 residential trip with Rootd Adventure was an unforgettable experience, filled with excitement, challenges, and memories to treasure for years to come. Over four days and three nights, the children stayed in cosy wooden glamping pods in the great outdoors, giving them the perfect base for their adventures. Each day brought new activities, from the adrenaline of the high ropes and low ropes courses to the thrilling Cresta Run. They also developed bushcraft and survival skills, learning how to light fires using flint—skills they later put to good use when roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Evenings were just as special, with hot chocolate, songs, and stories shared under the stars, creating a real sense of community. The entire week gave everyone such a sense of adventure—with activities testing bravery and teamwork in equal measure. The trip not only gave pupils the chance to try new things but also encouraged resilience, independence, and strong friendships.
